About us

Hi! I'm Fran and together with Maarten I like to welcome you in our restaurant and B&B, that is also our  home. I am born and bred in Ghent and I have been living in the "Koeketiene" house my whole life. I enjoy being a hostess and the love for food created my  dream of opening a business like Koeketiene. When I met Maarten, chef and jazz-pianist, we were able to create this place. 

We have a lively toddler called Kars and together with our two cats, Taboo and Miyagi, we live on the top floor of the house. We like to add an extra family member is on the way :)
