About us

Hello there :) 

I'm Fran and together with Maarten I like to welcome you in our restaurant and B&B, that is also our  home. I am born and bred in Ghent and I have been living in the "Koeketiene" house my whole life. I enjoy being a hostess and the love for food created my  dream of opening a business like Koeketiene. When I met Maarten, chef and jazz-pianist, we were able to create this place. 

We have a lively boy called Kars (15/01/2020) and recently welcomed our babygirl Kiki (01/03/2023). Together with our two cats, Taboo and Miyagi, we live on the top floor of the house.
